On July 10, 1945 at 5:30 a.m., the first created U.S. Atomic Bomb was tested near Alamagordo, New Mexico. The blast scorched the desert, melting the surrounding sand. Once solidified again, a green glass-like material was formed. Highly radioactive in 1945, at present it's radioactivity is close to zero. UV light tests on this piece shows no reaction.
